Volunteer Programs Coordinator -- Position Description

TIME: 30-40 hours/month, approximately 10 hrs/week; September 23rd, 2011 through January 2012

COMPENSATION: $9 hourly rate, Internship Credit available

LOCATION: 203 F St. Suite A, Davis, California

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Assist with tree planting, pruning and tree care events, including organizing volunteers, contacting residents, preparing supplies, and delivering supplies. Must be available Saturday mornings at 6am through the early afternoon, Friday late afternoon, as well as some weekday evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a class C driver’s license. Able to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly, Physically fit. Must have an upbeat attitude, and not mind getting dirty.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Established in 1992, TREE Davis is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to expand and enhance our urban forest by teaching the people of our community to plant and care for trees. Tree planting experience is not required. Training will be provided.
