Tree Davis has delivered the Climate-Ready Urban Forestry Education internship program, made possible through CAL FIRE (California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection) to students at select high schools throughout Yolo County. This program began in April of 2022 and will conclude in March of 2026. The program offers classroom education and hands-on educational experiences, including tree planting, to deepen students' understanding of climate change adaptation strategies and the vital benefits they provide. These internships serve as a launching pad for students interested in pursuing college or career paths in urban forestry, while also fostering lifelong stewardship of urban green spaces, wherever students may live.
