Volunteer FAQ

What do I need to bring to volunteer?
To be prepared for volunteering, we recommend that volunteers dress for the weather, bring sunblock, a light snack, and a full water bottle. We require that volunteers wear close-toed shoes.
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. We do require that persons under the age of 18 bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian with them to the event. Persons under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. If that adult is not a parent, please also bring a waiver signed by the parent. For every 2 children, there must be at least 1 adult present.
Can I bring a group to volunteer?
Sure! A lot of our volunteer work is accomplished by community groups, businesses, and clubs. We do have a limit to the amount of volunteers that we can work with at each event, however. Please contact us at info@treedavis.org and let us know:
  1. The name of your group
  2. An estimate of how many volunteers you think will attend
  3. and which event(s) you are interested in.
What if it rains?
We will plant in light rain, so if it is raining, please come prepared with the best rain gear that you have. However, if there is heavy rain or lightning, we will cancel the event.
